1. Acceptance and scope

By using the Qiblah website, app, or related services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you obtain the app through the App Store, the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple’s standard EULA may also apply unless a custom EULA is provided through App Store Connect.

2. License to use the app

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for lawful personal purposes. For an App Store version, use is limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by Apple’s Usage Rules, including uses Apple permits through features such as Family Sharing or other authorized methods.

3. Relationship with Apple

These Terms and the Qiblah license are between you and the Qiblah provider only, not Apple. Qiblah, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content to the extent required by law and these Terms.

4. Maintenance and support

We are responsible for maintenance and support services for Qiblah to the extent we provide them or applicable law requires them. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the app.

5. Warranties

We use reasonable care to provide a stable service, but some results may be affected by device settings, sensors, location, the operating system, or external services. Any mandatory warranties under applicable law remain in effect. If an App Store version fails to conform to an applicable warranty, the user may notify Apple regarding any purchase-price remedy Apple provides, while other app-related warranty responsibilities remain with the Qiblah provider to the extent required by law.

6. Product and user claims

The Qiblah provider, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and privacy claims, to the extent required by law.

7. Intellectual property

The Qiblah name, logos, designs, content, software, and original materials are protected by the rights of their owners or licensors. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes intellectual-property rights, the Qiblah provider, not Apple, is responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim as required by law.

8. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, disrupt it, bypass safeguards, obtain unauthorized access, upload malicious files, or use forms to submit unlawful, abusive, or rights-infringing content.

9. Qibla, prayer-time, and Hijri-date accuracy

Some results depend on device location, settings, sensors, calculation method, time zone, and user selections. Limited differences may occur compared with a local authority or another calendar. Where an official time or religious determination is required, consult the competent authority in your location.

10. Location, permissions, notifications, and audio

The app may request permissions such as location or notifications to provide certain functions. You can refuse or change permissions in device settings. Alerts and audio may also be affected by Silent Mode, Focus, power management, and operating-system policies.

11. Apple Watch, widgets, and system features

Some features may rely on Apple Watch, widgets, Lock Screen features, Live Activities, or operating-system capabilities. Their behavior and refresh timing may change with system versions and device policies.

12. Support reports and attachments

When submitting an issue or suggestion, provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you attach an image or PDF, you are responsible for having the right to share it and for ensuring it does not contain harmful, unlawful, or unauthorized information.

13. Third-party services and terms

Some functions may depend on operating-system services, app stores, or other providers. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using those connected services.

14. Legal compliance for App Store use

When using an App Store-distributed version, you represent that your use complies with applicable laws and trade restrictions, including restrictions required by Apple’s terms and applicable law.

15. Apple as third-party beneficiary

For App Store license provisions, you acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of those provisions and may enforce provisions that grant them that right in accordance with Apple’s requirements.

16. Updates, availability, and termination

Qiblah may be updated and features may be added, changed, or discontinued for service, compatibility, or security reasons. Access may be restricted or terminated for misuse or legal requirements, without limiting mandatory user rights.

17. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses arising from sole reliance on app data where an official or religious reference is required, or from failures caused by the device, operating system, or external services. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

18. Privacy

Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy published at qiblah.me/privacy-policy/, which forms part of these Terms.

19. Governing law

These Terms are interpreted under the laws and regulations applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, subject to mandatory user rights and any mandatory terms applicable to App Store distribution.
